ABOUT WELISPEAK

Vision & Positioning

WELISPEAK was created to address a major issue in education across Francophone Africa: learners understand English but struggle to speak it. Unlike traditional systems that focus on theory (grammar, vocabulary), WELISPEAK emphasizes practical, spoken use of the language. It adopts a practice-first approach where learners listen, speak, repeat, and engage in real-life situations. The goal is not memorization, but active use of English. In the long term, WELISPEAK aims to democratize access to practice, starting with spoken English and expanding to other languages and subjects, helping learners build confidence, fluency, and real-world skills.

A Word from the Founder

I created WELISPEAK because I personally experienced what millions of learners go through every day. For years, I could understand English. I knew the rules. I passed exams. But when it was time to speak my voice froze. Like many learners, I was never truly given the opportunity to practice speaking in real-life conditions. School taught me what English is, but not how to use it. WELISPEAK was born from a simple conviction: confidence does not come from knowing more it comes from practicing more. This platform is not about perfect accents or flawless sentences. It is about consistency, courage, and daily progress. If you speak a little more today than yesterday, you are already succeeding. WELISPEAK exists to give learners what traditional systems often forget to provide: a safe space to speak, make mistakes, repeat, and grow. Welcome to your speaking journey.Affré Dany Romaric N’DRI
